Where should we take our photos?
I'd recommend taking your photos somewhere meaningful to you both, if possible. These photos will be even more memorable and valuable if the location is also a significant part of the photo. However, I would be sure to consider if this meaningful location would still look good in pictures. If your significant location is right next to a junkyard, good for you I guess, but let's maybe not take pictures there. A great example is a session I did where they decided to take their pictures on his grandpa's farm. It was very pretty and it had meaning to them.
Of course, another great option is to just go somewhere really pretty, whether it has any sentimental value or not. I'll work with you to make sure that we go with a good location that'll make everyone happy.
One thing to consider is that some places require you to pay a fee in order to take pictures there. If you still want to do your session there, totally fine, but I will ask you to cover whatever that cost is.
What's your cancellation policy?
At the time of booking, you will pay 50% of the price as a non-refundable retainer to secure your spot. If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, you would only forfeit the retainer and you would not be expected to pay the remaining balance. You could also choose to reschedule your session for a different day with no penalty, transferring your retainer to hold the new date.
If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you will be asked to pay the remaining balance for the session. This accounts for the fact that I held that date open for you and likely turned down other work because I expected to have this session.
Of course, if unforseen circumstances come up within 48 hours of the session such as illness, weather, or other emergencies, I'm happy to work with you to reschedule.
